Behold it is a project that I am working on! I put all my pen and ink illustrations from the last few years into a book and I’m printing it through lulu.com and I just got the proof today! It still needs some work and possibly more expensive paper on the interior as all the pictures looked super faded, but it’s coming along nicely!

Was playing with a new tutorial that uses lots of textures today, kinda like the look of it.
Alright, how about a product review?
I got the M708 tablet for my birthday ( you can check it out at https://www.amazon.com/Ugee-M708-Design-Graphics-Drawing/dp/B00VUHQECU ) and for a near $50 tablet it does its job pretty damn well. I’ve used a wacob intuos 3 for more years than I can count, and trying this out after I’ve had that thing for so long… it’s surprisingly light. A little bit smaller, but since its newer its drawing area to screen ratio isn’t that much off as much as my old tablet (I traced a cup - on my old tablet it makes a giant oval, on this one it makes a circle as it should). It has a lot of pre programmed buttons for things I would use that I dug and would use. It also came with a really cool pen rest that had a built in nib remover and like 8 replacement nibs right off the bat, which is awesome. You aint gunna loose these in a little plastic baggy.
The downsides I found after spending most of my day trying to get it to work on my computer;
-The Pen takes a AAA battery
-I couldn’t have it and my wacom on the same computer. I installed it and by the time I got it working my old wacom intuos 3 didn’t take pen preasure anymore. So I dunno, I guess that means you can have one or the other? When I was installing it it told me to uninstall ALL my other tablet drivers. Im not that confident in new stuff not to be able to move back to the old stuff if it fails.
-The other downside to this was when I installed it, it didn’t seem to care what pen sensetivity I set it too. Maybe its another softwere thing I don’t got enough time to fix, but setting the sensitivity from low to high, it didnt’ seem to make a difference. It seemed to be stuck on a low setting which is shit for trying to sketch.
So I guess the only issues I had with this thing was the software stuff. But that can be time consuming to try to fix. All the mechanical aspects of this tablet are top notch for a $50 thing, really.

Some stuff I doodled while playing with this idea for a future space opera type story or comic or something. Its the future and mars and a couple others have been terraformed, we can travel between planets in about the same time as folks in the saleship days could go between continents - and almost all the pilots and space oriented jobs are taken by women because they ballance in space better or something - and so enters Celeste Zarkov, a young up and coming xenobiologist and space medic who gave up his masculinity to be a space nurse! Sexy adventure ensues with sexy shape changing lizard women from the constilation Draco invading!
